Rehabilitation can be applied for via e.g. a social station, detoxification station, A clinic, health station, occupational health care or a hospital. On arrival at rehabilitation, the client needs a payment bond (maksusitoumus) and a referral that details the client’s state of health and information relating to medication. The referral should be faxed to number (09) 310 46459. While at Tervalampi, the client will not necessarily meet a doctor, so medication to be taken during rehabilitation must be arranged in advance. Clients always begin rehabilitation in a substance-free condition and clients’ acute withdrawal symptoms must have been treated already in out-patient or institutional detoxification.
Banking and postal matters are handled in Nummela, Vihti’s largest population centre, which is situated ten kilometres away from the manor. There is daily transportation from the manor to Nummela.
In addition to clothing, hygiene accessories, swimming costume and other personal items, you may also wish to bring your favourite pastime articles/equipment. Tervalampi offers good opportunities to engage in outdoor and exercise activities. Equipment and washing powders/detergents are available for clothing care. The manor also has, for example, a cafeteria, library and gymnasium. Personal items can be kept in a locked cabinet. For a key given to the client a five euro deposit is charged, which is returned when the client returns the key.
Clients’ relatives and friends have the opportunity to visit the manor. We consider it important that meetings with relatives also take place during the rehabilitation period. On arrival, visitors should report to the duty office. It is also easy to keep in contact with clients via the cafeteria’s client telephone in the evenings and at weekends (tel. 310 46455).
